where designs become yachts
Viewing a yacht at a boat show is one thing. Getting to know the shipyard where it takes shape offers a different perspective. This was precisely the idea behind the Lagoon Exclusive Days: from 11 to 14 March 2026, Lagoon opened its doors in Bordeaux to clients and prospective owners. The programme included yacht viewings, guided tours of the shipyard and personal discussions about visitors’ own yacht projects.
The range was considerable: the event line-up included the Lagoon 38, the SIXTY 5, the EIGHTY 2 and the two motor yachts SIXTY 7 and EIGHTY 3. Visitors could therefore explore different sizes and concepts at the same event. Which layout best suits your life on board? How much yacht do you need for the voyages you have in mind? In Bordeaux, questions like these gained a tangible context.
The EIGHTY 3 makes its grand entrance
The new EIGHTY 3 took centre stage. Lagoon celebrated the christening of its new motor yacht flagship with around 100 partners and guests. The occasion featured a choreographed performance by 40 dancers. An equally notable appearance came from 40 members of the production team: they were invited onto the stage and recognised for their contribution to building the yacht.
It was a gesture that suited the setting. According to Lagoon, more than 50 different trades and professions contribute to the EIGHTY 3. The naval architecture is by VPLP Design, the exterior design was developed with Patrick le Quément, and the interior bears the signature of Nauta Design. The premiere thus also gave a stage to the people whose work later disappears behind panelling, finishes and technical systems.

Luxury expressed through the layout
On the EIGHTY 3, the connections between the individual living areas deserve a closer look. The main deck is arranged on a single level. At the stern, Lagoon provides for a platform of up to 22 square metres; the shipyard puts the total outdoor space at 300 square metres. The owner’s suite has a private terrace – a secluded retreat right by the water.
Lagoon also offers scope for personalisation in the fit-out: furniture, upholstery and accessories can be tailored to the owners’ tastes. Natural stone, brushed wood and woven leather form part of the material palette. The result is a yacht with a personal character, where furnishing choices go well beyond selecting a fabric colour.
Extended cruising is also part of the concept. Lagoon quotes a range of up to 3’500 nautical miles. This is a manufacturer’s figure; the actual distance achievable depends on factors including speed, load and conditions. Comfort and longer passages are both integral to the design.

Families had the shipyard to themselves for the finale
The event review tells another story, too. At a closing family day, employees’ relatives were able to explore the workshops, offices and technical areas. Lagoon reports 890 visitors and 73 employee volunteers who guided them around the site.
It is precisely this combination that makes the Exclusive Days so appealing: a yacht can be described through dimensions and equipment lists. Getting to know how it is built and the people behind it provides further insights to inform your own decision. Bordeaux offered the ideal setting – with a premiere that gives Lagoon’s motor yacht range a new face.
